20年陪伴受创儿童出庭主妇无私关爱获表彰

Singapore Children’s Society held our annual Singapore Children’s Society Awards on 24 June 2023. 70 volunteers and donors were honoured at the awards presentation, where President Halimah Yacob was the Guest of Honour.

Two of our award recipients, Mdm Suraiyah Ibrahim (Platinum Service Award) and the NTU Welfare Services Club, Regular Service Projects Youth (Silver Service Award) were featured in the article below.

A volunteer under the Vulnerable Witness Support Programme for 20 years, Mdm Suraiyah spoke about her experience volunteering, and her motivations and hopes in choosing to help children and youth.

As student volunteers who tutor youth beneficiaries under the Society’s care, President of the Regular Service Projects Youth, Mr Sundara Ganapathy, also shared how his role extended beyond just being a regular tutor, but a listening ear and life guide for these youth.   

The article also noted that Associate Professor Lim Lee Ching was the recipient of the Ruth Wong Award.
