Home Based Tuition

- 21 years and above

- Able to tutor Primary school level of English, Maths and Science

- Willing to travel within Singapore

- Provide home based tuition for children aged between 7 and 12

- Tutor up to 2 subjects

Twice a week
(1.5 hours per session for up to 2 subjects)

*Volunteers are required to commit in Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct and Nov

KidzLive

The programme educates pre-school children on how to protect themselves from sexual abuse, to differentiate between good and bad touches and to tell a trusted adult if they are touched inappropriately.

- Must be available on weekday mornings

- Proficient in English

- Willing to travel to pre-schools islandwide

- Caring and enthusiastic with good presentation skills and ability to interact well with pre-school children

- Able to conduct oneself in a mature and professional manner

- To assist staff in conducting KidzLive sessions for pre-school children

The programme aims to help students build a good foundation in Math.

Appropriate Adult Scheme for Young Suspects (AAYS)

Singapore Children's Society was appointed the service provider for AAYS in February 2017. It will provide a neutral adult and emotional support to young suspects during their interviews with the police.

- 21 years and above

- Passion to support youth

- To facilitate communication when necessary

- To observe young suspects and note any emotional and mental health concerns

- To support the well-being of young suspects

Average of four times a year  (1-year term)    

*Compulsory briefing and training sessions will be conducted on 21 and 28 July 2018, as well as 18 and 25 August 2018.

Ad-hoc

Tinkle Friend 
is a befriending service for primary school children aged 7 to 12 years old. It aims to provide emotional and social support to children who are in distress and whose main caregivers are unavailable at that moment.

- 21 years and above

- Proficient in English

- Patient, caring and able to empathise with others

- Team player and open to feedback

- Enjoy chatting with children via either helpline or online chat or both

- Experience interacting with children is preferred

- To provide social and emotional support to the children

Once every 2 weeks 
(min. 1 year from 24 Aug 18 onwards)    

Afternoon Shift^:
Helpline: 2.30-5.00pm
Online Chat: 2.30-5.30pm

Evening Shift^^:

*Compulsory training sessions for both shifts will be at Radin Mas Community Club.
