EcoBank 2018

EcoBank 2018 aims to promote responsible consumption and disposal, and reduce the use-and-throw mentality, through the sale of pre-loved items in good condition, where proceeds will be donated for a good cause. 

Interested volunteers can sign up here.

- 16 years and above

- To sort out collected items by categories

- To curate items in good condition for bazaar sale

- To provide general logistical support

12 January - 27 February 2018 (excluding 16, 17 & 19 February)

Shift 1: 9.30am-1.30pm from Mondays to Saturdays

Shift 2: 1.30-5.30pm from Mondays to Fridays

*The venue will be City Industrial Building at 71 Tannery Lane, Singapore 347807.

*Each volunteer will be issued a $10 meal voucher from City Square Mall per shift.

EcoBank Bazaar

Project Kindle

Project Kindle seeks to provide a safe space for single mothers to come together to share and learn coping means from one another, while learning useful literacy skills and knowledge.

- Female only

- Enjoy working with young children

- Responsible, fun-loving and energetic

- To guide children in simple art and craft activities in a safe and fun manner

- To ensure children's safety

- To be a positive role model for the children

KidzLive

The programme educates pre-school children on how to protect themselves from sexual abuse, to differentiate between good and bad touches and to tell a trusted adult if they are touched inappropriately.

- 21 years and above

- Must be available on weekday mornings

- Proficient in English

- Willing to travel to pre-schools islandwide

- Caring and enthusiastic with good presentation skills and ability to interact well with pre-school children

- Able to conduct oneself in a mature and professional manner

- To assist staff in conducting KidzLive sessions for pre-school children

Once a week
(min. 6 months)

*Volunteers are required to attend a 1-day training session prior to the start of volunteering work.

Appropriate Adult Scheme for Young Suspects (AAYS)

Singapore Children's Society was appointed the service provider for AAYS in February 2017. It will provide a neutral adult and emotional support to young suspects during their interviews with the police.

- 21 years and above

- Passion to support youth

- To facilitate communication when necessary

- To observe young suspects and note any emotional and mental health concerns

- To support the well-being of young suspects

Average of four times a year  (1-year term)    

*Compulsory briefing and training sessions will be conducted on 16 December 2017 and 13 January 2018.
