用镜头记录孩子笑脸 儿童会义工奉献40年获金奖

Singapore Children’s Society held its annual Singapore Children’s Society Awards on 29 June 2024. 64 volunteers and donors were honoured at the awards presentations, where President Tharman Shanmugaratnam was the Guest of Honour.

A long-term serving volunteer and Gold Service Award recipient, Mr Steven Liew was featured in an article by Lianhe Zaobao. Mr Liew shared about how he came to volunteer with Sunbeam Place @ Children’s Society (then known as the Convalescent Home), his volunteering journey and what motivates him to continue providing his services.

The article also mentioned this year’s recipients for the Gopal Haridas Award, the Late Mr Chew Lye Hoe, Tote Board and Gartner Advisory (Singapore). The Gopal Haridas Award is awarded to an individual, group or organisation who has raised a significant amount of funds or made donations to Children’s Society in the preceding year.
