两计划创筹款纪录 儿童会去年筹获880万元善款

Singapore Children’s Society held its annual 1000 Enterprises for Children-in-Need (1000E) and 1000 Philanthropists (1000P) Appreciation Dinner on 17 April 2024. A record-breaking amount of $8.8 million was raised in 2023 through the 1000E and 1000P programmes.
In his speech, Prof Ho Lai Yun, Deputy Chairman of Children’s Society, said that the 1000E programme saw 507 enterprises contribute $3.68 million, while the 1000P programme garnered $5.17 million with the support of 1,289 individuals. He also announced the Society’s plans to refresh both giving programmes, details of which will be disclosed in the later part of the year.
Senior Minister Teo, Patron for the 1000E and 1000P programmes, was the Guest of Honour at the event. He spoke about Children’s Society’s efforts to meet the evolving needs of its service users and lauded the Society for its contributions in supporting children, youth and their families.
In an interview with Zaobao, Mr Kurt Wee, Chairman of the Community Engagement and Partnerships Standing Committee at Children’s Society, shared that the Society will focus on addressing the mental health concerns of children, youth and families, as well as upcoming initiatives in this area.
