Our volunteers play an instrumental role in the care we give to our beneficiaries, and we got a chance to thank them in person at our annual Tribute to Volunteers, held on Saturday, 26 November 2022, at Metropolitan YMCA.
“Friends: The Reunion” was the first physical tribute to our volunteers since 2019, and it gave old and new volunteers a chance to come together and swap stories about their volunteering journeys.
The event was also attended by Chairman of Singapore Children’s Society Mr Koh Choon Hui, our CEO Ms Ang Boon Min, Community Engagement and Partnerships Standing Committee Chairperson Mr Kurt Wee, and members of our staff.
During the event, our volunteers got a chance to see our newly-launched corporate video. They were also treated to performances by our beneficiaries, as well as a magic show by award-winning Illusionist Jeremy Tan. There were prizes to be won in a lucky draw, polaroid photos to be taken, and lots to eat at the tea buffet. They also heard the stories of two of our volunteers, who shared about their journeys and what they had learnt. Thank you to all our volunteers for your hard work and contributions, and for bringing hope and smiles to our beneficiaries. We look forward to continuing to work with you.
