March 2019

Three senior clinicians who have volunteered for a total of 110 years with the Children’s Society have been recognised for their commitment and dedication to building the SingHealth Duke-NUS Paediatrics Academic Clinical Programme (ACP), as well as the transformative effect their contributions have had on patients and the community.

Prof Ho Lai Yun (standing, fifth from the left), the Society’s Vice Chairman, and Prof Phua Kong Boo (standing, fourth from the left), a member of the Society’s Research and Advocacy Standing Committee and Advisor in the Sunbeam Place Standing Committee, attended the appreciation dinner at Pan Pacific Singapore on 23 February 2019. They were accompanied by their wives, Mrs Ho Lai Yun (seated, fourth from left), and Mrs Phua Kong Boo (seated, third from left), as well as a number of Children’s Society’s Committee and staff members.

The late Prof Tan Cheng Lim, who held the post of Advisor in the Sunbeam Place Standing Committee, was also honoured at the event.
