Singapore Children’s Society has been awarded the President’s Award for Social Impact, which recognises non-profit organisations that have an impact on the community, and best practices in impact measurement.

President Tony Tan Keng Yam presented the award to the Society’s Vice Chairman, Prof Ho Lai Yun, during the President’s Volunteerism and Philanthropy Awards, held at PARKROYAL on Beach Road on 15 October.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Society’s Executive Director Mr Alfred Tan said: “We are very honoured to receive the President’s Award for Social Impact. Children’s Society has worked hard to help children in need, and is always coming up with new and relevant programmes that produce tangible results.”

The Awards, which recognise those who have set excellence benchmarks in encouraging the spirit of giving in Singapore, was organised by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre. A total of 10 individuals and organisations were honoured this year.
