In this interactive workshop with quizzes and group-based activities, they will explore and learn:
What is the UNCRC, where it came from and why there's one just for them
The Singapore context: Some of our laws and policies, issues and development
How the CRC applies to their everyday life, such as mental health, online safety (including cyber wellness), climate change so they can advocate for better social-emotional well-being for themselves and their peers
Be active citizens by developing a critical lens of what’s done well in Singapore, identify the gaps and constraints of current efforts and what can be done better to improve the lives of others
After the workshop, youth will be invited to join our community channel. Through this platform, they will gain access to a range of local and international opportunities to express their views on child rights issues, including events such as Child Rights Coalition Asia’s Regional Children’s Meeting as well as consultations and dialogues from organisations such as the United Nations and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
By being part of a diverse community of youth that interacts with duty-bearers and other stakeholders, we aim to prepare them to be more future-ready.
