Children Service Centre reaches out to children between five and twelve years old who mainly come from dysfunctional or disadvantaged families. Many children lack supervision as both parents are working, and are likely to idle their time away or run the risk of dropping out of school.

At our Family Service Centre (Yishun), we promote stable family life through various services and programmes. These include financial aid, casework and counselling, enhanced information and referral services, workshops, camps and programmes like Project Invest, LEAP (Let Every Aspect Progress) and EUREKA! In addition, Family Service Centre (Yishun) disburses The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (within the Family Service Centre’s service boundaries) to needy students.

Jurong Youth Centre is a drop-in centre which focuses on engaging youth meaningfully to develop their strengths, build their personal confidence and pre-empt a path of juvenile delinquency early on. The Centre reaches out to youth aged between 13 and 18 through the TeenStart and TeenzLife programmes.

Research and Outreach Centre undertakes the Research and Public Education portfolios of the Society. Singapore Children’s Society conducts research to help identify social trends and issues related to children, youth and families in Singapore. Findings are published in monographs and presented at appropriate platforms. For Public Education, the Centre organises the annual Singapore Children’s Society Lecture, as well as programmes related to child abuse prevention for caregivers and pre-school children. The Centre also provides support to children who are not going to school and children whose parent(s) are incarcerated.

RoundBox is a drop-in centre that reaches out to youths through the medium of performing arts, in an environment that is inviting, safe and conducive. By directing their energies towards positive endeavours, these young people are given the chance to discover their talents in activities such as hip-hop dance, jam sessions and drama.

Student Care Centre (Henderson) is an after school care service for primary school children who are mainly from low-income, single parent or distressed families, or who are sometimes left at home without adult supervision. The Centre provides a nurturing environment where children are given the opportunities to enhance their emotional, intellectual, social and physical development through various activities and programmes.

Student Service Hub (Bukit Merah) reaches out to youths in secondary schools in Project CABIN, a school-based after school drop-in programme. The Centre also houses the Tinkle Friend Programme, which runs the Tinkle Friend Helpline – a national toll-free helpline for primary school children in Singapore, and coordinates the Vulnerable Witness Support Programme which provides support for vulnerable children who are providing evidence in court. The Centre is also the IDA appointed administrator for iNSPIRE Fund and advocates for a bully-free culture in schools through the Bully-Free Programme.

Sunbeam Place is a residential home and gazetted place of safety for children who have been abused and neglected and in need of protection, or whose parents are unable to provide proper care.

The children’s welfare, safety and needs are at the centre of its care. The Centre provides a home-like and loving environment for children aged between 2 and 18 years. It counsels and helps them cope with changes to develop a positive self-view with emotional resilience. The programmes offered at Sunbeam Place are based on their age and interest. The Centre provides a wide range of opportunities to develop children’s strengths and skills to be responsible young adults.

Talks and Workshops Programmes Centre aims to promote the well-being of children, youth, parents and caregivers through talks and workshops conducted in a fun and experiential manner. Our programmes for the children and youth are designed to be in line with the Social and Emotional Learning framework of the Ministry of Education. The centre also conducts training for teachers with the objective of imparting knowledge and skills to these professionals who are tasked to mould our future generations.

VOX @ Singapore Children’s Society serves youth aged between 13 and 18. VOX acts as a platform for youth to voice out their ideas, while holding the belief that every youth has strengths and assets to be tapped on. Basing our intervention on the Positive Youth Development Framework, each youth will develop 5Cs - Caring, Character, Competence, Confidence and Connection during their time with us.

Youth Service Centre (Toa Payoh) undertakes youth-related social services. They work closely with the Youth Court to counsel and reform youths who are at risk of being on the wrong side of the law, and those who are deemed Beyond Parental Control. The Centre runs diversionary programmes that aim to stabilise youth behaviour, and mentoring programmes that give youth and their families positive role models to emulate.

Tinkle Friend is a national toll free helpline and online chat for all primary school children who need a listening ear. Manned by trained volunteers and staff, Tinkle Friend provides support, advice and information to lonely and distressed children especially in situations when their parents or main caregivers are unavailable.
