Steering the Society to Greater Heights
The opportunities presented by technology, and its impact on our work dominated discussions at the Singapore Children’s Society’s Strategic Planning Meeting on 5 March. Discussions also focused on ways we could improve the quality of the services we provide.
The strategy meeting, held at the PARKROYAL on Beach Road, was attended by the Society’s Executive Committee members, heads of department and other staff.
The day began with our management’s overview of the Society’s milestones and achievements, followed by round-table discussions on our mission and strategic thrusts.
After a lunch break, our ‘risk register’, which is part of our risk governance, took centrestage. The group assessed our internal controls and identified how financial, operational or funding risks, for example, could be minimised.
The feedback and opinions gathered will improve our ability to help children in need.
