Record Turnout at Free Market
A record number of people flocked to Singapore Children’s Society’s Free Market this year, keen on getting hold of pre-loved items such as books, bags and clothes.
Held at the OnePeople.sg’s event hall in Toa Payoh on 19 September, the annual fair, now in its third year, drew over 300 youth and their families.
For the first time, cutlery and crockery donated by Resorts World Sentosa, Marina Mandarin Singapore and Pan Pacific Singapore were given away.
The crowd also enjoyed fringe activities such as balloon-sculpturing, face-painting and spray tattooing, and tried their luck at games stalls where there were prizes to be won. Members of RoundBox @ Singapore Children’s Society kept the crowd entertained with song, rap and beat-box numbers.
Free Market is organised by the Society’s Youth Service Centre (Toa Payoh).
A huge thank you to everyone who participated!
