CABINs Face Off in Futsal Challenge
It was a morning of fun and fancy footwork when some 14 teams from Project CABIN secondary schools faced off during the inaugural Inter-CABIN Futsal Competition, organised by the Society’s Student Service Hub (Bukit Merah) on 6 September.
With the coveted Championship trophy at stake, the 91 participating students fought hard on the pitches of Golazo Futsal Singapore, bringing out their best plays and strongest strategies.
Also on display were sportsmanship and camaraderie, with the teams playing fair and supporting each other through the games.
Seng Kang Secondary School beat Pei Cai Secondary School to take top spot in the finals, while New Town Secondary School placed third and Westwood Secondary School was fourth.
The competition is aimed at encouraging youth to engage in fun and healthy physical activities, and to achieve their full potential based on their interests and talents. It also seeks to promote positive attributes like teamwork, fair play and self-esteem.
To allow the Society’s CABIN projects to reach out to more students, the competition was open to both CABIN Club members and non-members who regularly visit the youth drop-in centres.
