Campaign Details

Innervate Fitness will be organising its 5th fundraising fitness event, Operation Broken Wing (OBW), on 26 January 2019. The movement, championed by fitness enthusiasts, aims to raise funds for youth at risk. OBW was founded to help fitness ethusiasts engage in social good by using their fitness for a good cause to help raise funds for youth at risk or similar beneficiaries. In 2017, the event raised $175,000 and proceeds of the event were channelled to fund programmes that would help in the rehabilitation and reintegration of troubled youth. In the past years, OBW have had the backing of various corproate sponsors such as Under Armour, AIA and Dymon Asia. A key element of OBW was to directly impact the youth at risk by going into schools and youth organisations to interact, educate and welcome youth to either take part or assist in the running of the event. This provided a huge significance for the youth as well as boost their confidence dramatically. This year, OBW also hope to be more inclusive by reaching out to more schools and those with disabilities.

Message

Come and be part of OBW as an athlete or sponsor. OBW brings together people from all walks of life – fitness enthusiasts from different gyms and disciplines, the young (from age 8), the old (to age 72), and the adaptive – all united with a common purpose to Fight for Hope for our forgotten youth. The crowd are electrifying and the atmosphere of support and empowerment is like no other. It is about a show of strength to let the forgotten youth know that there is a whole community behind them and that they are in fact not forgotten. OBW would not be a success without this community, and we welcome even more to join.
