Children deserve to be heard, and as part of Singapore Children’s Society’s 70th Anniversary, we launched our Children’s Voices campaign on 9 June to give them a platform. We’re inviting submissions from children and youth under 18, on their hopes and dreams, and what makes them smile.
We want to hear your VOICE!
We know that ‘Every Voice Creates a Ripple’, and encourage children and youth to let their Voices be heard, to share their Opinions, express their Ideas, dare to make Changes and to Empower themselves and inspire others.
We’re looking for answers to the following questions:
1. What do your parents/ teachers/ caregivers do that make you smile?
2. What are your hopes and dreams for the future? How can adults support you in chasing your dreams?
The campaign is led by Lin Xiaoling and Joanne Ang. “We believe that every child and youth can be empowered, and that every voice matters,” Xiaoling says. Joanne adds that “Hence, our 70th Anniversary platform provides a good opportunity to remind adults that listening is important.”
The best submissions will be compiled into a series of videos that will run on our various 70th anniversary event and social media platforms in the final quarter of the year. The first 100 submissions will receive limited edition 70th anniversary collateral.
