A Little Kindness, Lots of Joy! – Chinese New Year 2021
A simple act of kindness can go a long way to make a lasting impact on the well-being of children, especially those who are unable to reunite with their family members this Lunar New Year season.
Madam Tan* is the main caregiver looking after her two granddaughters as her son is incarcerated. She brings them regularly to Children Outreach @ Children’s Society for tele-visits with their father under our Project LADDER programme. This programme is a joint initiative with Singapore Prison Service to allow children aged 16 and below to maintain communication with their incarcerated parent at our centre. Project LADDER seeks to sustain and strengthen positive family relationships and connections for families affected by incarceration.
This Lunar New Year, as we treasure precious moments we spend with our family and loved ones over reunion dinner or family gatherings, do spare a thought for families who might not be so fortunate.
Help spread kindness this Lunar New Year season and support us in our efforts to strengthen families through programmes like Project LADDER. We invite you to embrace the spirit of giving and make a difference in the lives of our beneficiaries through our annual fundraising project, A Little Kindness, Lots of Joy!
