Singapore Children’s Society held our 70^th Anniversary Learning Festival on 14 October 2022. As part of the line-up, Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration was the speaker for the 15^th Singapore Children’s Society Lecture. The article below focuses on pertinent points brought up during his lecture, “Strengthening our Social Service Delivery”. This includes additional support for lower-income families through the Community Link programme, as well as adopting an integrated and holistic approach to tackling the challenges faced by these families.

In commemoration of our 70^th Anniversary, a series of learning sessions were also held during the event, covering topics of vulnerable children, physical discipline and children’s mental health. We also launched our second book of collected lectures, “Thinking of Children: The Singapore Children’s Society Collected Lectures (2015 – 2021)”.
