Caregiving Services
Sunbeam Place - Children’s
Home
The
Home is gazetted as a Place of Safety for abused and
neglected children in need of protection or whose parents
are unable to provide proper care.
The Home focuses on providing children with a safe,
nurturing and protective environment that respects their
cultural and ethnic identities; while addressing their
unique educational, development, physiological and emotional
needs. At the Home, we conduct enrichment classes, character
education and counselling for children aged between
2 to 16 years old.
Henderson Student Care
Centre
Henderson
Children Centre provides before and after school care
for children aged between 7 to 12 years old. The children
are often from lower income, single-parent and distressed
families; and are sometimes left at home without adult
supervision.
Under our care, we nurture them with the skills and
positive family values to see them through their adolescent
years. We also provide the necessary supervision in
a conducive environment to enhance their physical, intellectual,
emotional and social development.
Vulnerable Witness Support
Programme
The programme aims to provide adequate support to vulnerable
witnesses who have to testify in criminal cases. Venerable
persons refer to victims or witness under the age of
16 years old, or individuals with an intellectual capacity
under the age of 16.
Together with our volunteers, Children’s Society
counsel and provide emotional support to these children
and families |
