Bully-Free Forum 2010

Registration fee: $15 (before GST) per person Bullying is a widespread social problem and Singapore Children’s Society has been promoting awareness on bullying since 2004, with the aim of advocating a safer and friendlier environment in schools. Our Bully-Free Forum this year will continue to shed more light on the issue and of handling bullying effectively.

The speaker, Ms Donna Cross is the Professor of Child and Adolescent Health at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia, and Director of the Child Health Promotion Research Centre. She has been involved in children’s health research in Australia and the USA for 20 years. At the forum, Ms Cross will review current research on patterns of young people's cyber bullying experiences, the possible effects, and the protective factors that help build resilience of young people. In addition, case studies of cyber bullying and practical strategies for schools and families will be shared.

Project INVEST - Parenting Course Schedule 2010

 

Project Invest is a fun and experiential 4-session course for parents with children below 12 years of age who are keen to learn parenting skills and knowledge.

 

Course Objectives: To improve communication and strengthen the relationship between parent-child.
